When was the last time you had your rugs professionally cleaned? In Plant Rug Cleaning is different than in home cleaning. The process that can be used in a true rug cleaning plant is so much more thorough than in home cleaning. One of the first things we do is give your rug an inspection. This process helps us determine how we would like to approach your rug individually with a cleaning process. Not all rugs should be cleaned the same way with the same soap. We make a plan during this time for your rug. We put all rugs through a dusting procedure to remove as much dry soil as possible. The dusting procedure is not a simple vacuuming that you could have done your self. We lay your rugs upside down on top of some grates and run a rug dusting machine over the backing to loosen the soil and have it drop from the rug through the grates onto the floor. Then we use a beater brush vacuum to vacuum the backing and flip the rug and use a pile lifter vacuum for the face yarn. This process removes the dry soil from your rug.
After this we conduct tests to help us make decisions on how to clean your rug. Most rugs will be put through our cleaning machine and centrifuge to give you a very thorough cleaning. Some rugs will need to be hand cleaned and others cleaned with a dryer process. We use these different methods for best cleaning and safety. Hand made rugs require extra care.

Rugs can hold quite a bit dirt can collect dirt over the course of the year. Vacuuming can only pull so much dirt out of your rugs with a vacuum in the home. For the best results and safety of the rugs the best way to clean rugs is at a cleaning facility where you take the rugs to the professional cleaner or have them picked up and delivered. In a cleaning facility they can do many things that cannot be done in your home. Rugs can and should be dusted annually, not just vacuumed but dusted. You cannot dust rugs in the home, only at a cleaning facility. The equipment is quite large.

When your rug got wet did the fringe turn red? Bring your rug into our cleaning plant and we may be able to fix that. The real key to getting red out of fringe is not really in removing the red but in not destroying the fringe while removing the red dye. It isn’t that difficult for the average professional to remove red dye from fringe. What is difficult is neutralizing what you use to remove the red dye from the fringe.
This skill will separate the amateur from a professional. If you don’t neutralize the stripping agent the fringe will eventually breakdown. The stripping agent will continue to work until the fringe dissolves. So make sure when you have a fringe problem you have someone who knows what they are doing working on your rug.
Not all fringe problems can be corrected, sometimes you need to consider either liking with they issue or replacing the fringe.
