This time of year we spend an inordinate amount of time indoors. The quality of air we breathe is probably more important this time of year than others because we seem to be cooped up inside so much. Furnace filters, which one should I use?

Your furnace filter has a lot to do with the cleanliness of your indoor air. Air duct cleaning should be performed once every 3 - 5 years. In between cleaning don’t skimp on the furnace filter. You just paid $250.00 - $1000.00 to get your air ducts cleaned. Why would you not spend another $15.00(one time use 1 to 2 month filter) or $60.00 to $80.00(washable, probably 5 year filter) to keep the system clean? Doesn’t make sense does it? Get yourself a good filter. A good filter can help keep your furnace clean as well. Most furnaces today have a lot of sensitive electronic components. Keeping these components clean can help with the efficiency of your furnace and also extend the life of your furnace.
