There are many types of machines to clean air ducts. I have been in the cleaning industry for over 25 years. I have used both electric and gas operated machines over the years. I have found that the gas operated machines are the best systems to use in the residential cleaning oaf air duct systems.
Electric systems work off your circuits. These circuits take a certain amount of power and if the machine takes more than that amount of power you pop circuits or blow fuses. This can limit the amount of vacuum you have. The larger the system or the less sealed a system is can have an impact if the vacuum is not powerful enough.
Gas systems don't have to worry about an electrical circuit. A large motor can provide the right amount of vacuum. Vacuum is one of the most important parts of the duct cleaning job. Without enough vacuum dust can escape into the hope or leave more dust in the air ducts.

What to do in dificult times for Carpet Cleaning Companies

Times are difficult for carpet cleaning companies and just about everybody else nowadays. So what should we do? Remember that there is no substitute for second best. This is not a time to feel sorry for ourselves but to keep your chin up and deliver the best quality job you can deliver. Why? Let the other guy get depressed and slack off, not me. If you have less jobs than make sure each and every customer knows your the best so they can recommend your company to each and every one of their friends and relatives.

Do you need your carpeting Preconditioned?

One of the most important part of carpet cleaning is pre-conditioning. Pre-conditioning is getting the carpet ready for cleaning. There are many ways to do this. One way is to spray a solution on the carpeting. A solution that is sprayed on the carpeting must be strong to loosen on contact. The stronger a solution is the harder it is to rinse out of the carpeting. If solutions are left in the carpeting they can attract dirt. This leaving of residues can make the best cleaning job look dirty a month after the cleaning job was completed. The carpeting may look clean when finished but dirty a month later because of the residue that was left in the carpeting.
Another way of preconditioning is to use shampoo. With shampoo the solution is very mild. The shampoo activates with the gentle agitation. The shampoo is worked into the carpeting in a circular motion which lifts the dirt up into the fibers from the backing. Shampoo also rinses clean because of the mild nature of the solution.
I believe that shampoo is the best way to precondition a carpeting.
